With the recent fall of the Hive-colony and with so much positive feed back despite the plots early demise I have decided to continue the plot and provide more randomly encounters insectus creatures for adventures to face. Bigger and stronger though the numbers will be considerably reduced they will make up for it with new abilities. Insectus (Song) and (Dance) along with the pheromones they produce will provide the new Insectus creatures with spell like abilities to further challenge heroes.
No longer satisfied with simple drone combat with this new group of insects I will introduced named characters to serve as their -own- heroes and heroines. They will be sentient and appear more human-like with the ability to speak. They will warden and govern off the lesser (beast) insects of the Swarm. They will also speak highly of their God-mother, the source of their mutation.
With this new group I will introduce a new infection. A virus that will act as a means to further spread the Swarms influence to non-insect characters. It is transferable only through the bite of the God-mother (Eden) or the (Children of Eden) characters. The parasitic infection will provide a need for advanced medical care. No more will 'all-purpose' anti-venom work. This virus (Black Eden) acts as a symbiotic creature for the Insectus beings but functions as a parasite that will slowly convert players into insects. Granting them the ability of [Natural Armor], [Natural Weaponry], [Mutation] as well as the [Hive Mind]. All of this is consensual.

(( All creatures are subject to mutation, evolution, and metamorphosis. Content is subject to change. )) ((Currently brain-storming. I apologies for the delay.))

Popular, but you should likely not allow any of the island's god characters in on this Rp.
You should also make the infection require multiple treatments and completely resistant to 'powerful healing magics' as, I assure you, most of the Rpers here will no doubt use. This might make the infection, itself, a worry-some threat when dealing with your bugs. Perhaps even have healing magics speed up the mutation process.
Consensual - I believe I read, in the rules, that if you agree to participate in the dream's Rp quests, you are, thereby, consenting to its consequences that will affect your character within the dream. Thus, your "All of this is consensual" is not needed as they are agreeing to whatever fate the arrow lands upon by joining your questline.
Also, limit things like guns and the usefulness of spells in the Rp. All those people slinging things left and right is kind of dull and boring in an Rp. Reflective carapaces and hardened to bullet resistant. Unless someone wants to carry around a cannon( Crap, just gave them the idea...), they'll have a tougher time fighting your creations. Unless they bring a war hammer or can pick out weaknesses.
Remember, the object of a quest is to offer up a challenge that may or may not injure, kill, and affect characters in a way. Bullet resistant is not brick resistant. So if you get complaints, use logic and any Rp can be fun. Even if your character ends up dead. If they do.
(Problems with twinkers/alt summoners?) Veteran Rpers might know about the "Time bubbles" kind of Rps where all this happens at a "certain time" so characters can Rp as if nothing's happened in the main dream, and whenever the quest is being run, they switch over. Now after the quest is finished, the affects of their Rp are applied to the primary timeline. Another thing is "Time Stops." This is my FAVORITE! If you and someone are in combat, and, as usual, they're twinkers and summon help who "Rush to their aid," You can time stop. This makes it so that your fights are going on -while- his "aid" or "Reinforcements" are considered still running to help. They are stuck in that slow-motion running phase and cannot join combat. At all. Not until the combat has ended does the rule end.

Very well, I am still new to the whole DM role. Though I wouldn't have even used the term myself except a few others have used it while addressing me. So I sort of jus' adopted it. I shall take all this into consideration and update the Quest information. Thank you for your feed back Ocean.

Another thing you may wish to think of; Ozaru, the Worldly Serpent. Or the Guardian. Or, if you know her name, Ocean.
How do you plan on dealing with something who's true form can curl itself just about twice around Silverion, itself(One and a half times with the exception of muzzle length and the tail fin)? Not to ask if Ozaru can or cannot participate, but just something for you to think about. You might need 'heavy artillery' to deal with larger threats than what you'll likely be expecting. Worst case scenario, you might need a bug with flack cannons on its back as, no doubt, some of the island's inhabitants might just call over their airships for a strafing run on a horde of bugs.

Hmmm, it is clear this will require some thought. The original idea was merely to introduce minor threat creatures but I am beginning to see your point. Fortunately the limits of mutation are only limited to the imagination. I shall have to create some 'higher' threat creatures it seems.

What about already mutated characters? Just curious since Keitaro being a Draconian was no natural happening at all his DNA is already rather distorted.

While all this brainstorming and assistance is lovely, it strikes me as somewhat cluttered for a board intended to simply alert people that something is either happening, or about to. I will be asking Daine to create a 'quest help' sub-board specifically for generating ideas for quests and assistance for new Event Managers - and, once created, locking this thread.
Additionally, I will see about relocating this thread to the new board, as it has ceased being a plot hook, and is now a discussion.
Not really necessary now. These are now the discussion boards. ^_^ Carry on.

Edit: This board is now 'Quest discussions'. Polished quest advertisements (No discussion allowed) belong in a sub-forum from now on.
There you go! Conversation onward. o-o
