Well, I think Ace and Daine remember the irritating little metal men that nearly left the island defenseless, and got to wondering, what if they did not leave?
Perhaps there was one that divided that was... a touch off, not as concerned as the originals in preserving their food supply... and saw where more food lay in harder to gather spots.
I contacted the original player of Stahlgänger, and obtained rights to the character.
I was envisioning a variant that was off in color to the original that would be a minor threat to lower-level characters, but are rather frail and easy to defeat. They wouldn't have any localization, and if faced with significant threats, they would flee. Just something to bring adventure to new players, and give them a sense of motive.
Let me know what you think. If required, I will create a basic 'monster stats' to show their total limits.

So basically low-level ferrovores? Or am I misreading?

Yes. Warriors beware, you're really wielding candy bars...

Now, when you say lower-level characters... are you referring to people who don't participate in quests? Or perhaps those that struggle with combat Rp?

I think he means something along the lines of comparing Kirrari (an above average fur, but nothing really special) to Spiderwing (A dragon about twice the size of a normal fur who can muscle his way through a lot more than he should).
Or I could be full of crap and they simply forgot that we don't have a level system here.

Now, when you say lower-level characters... are you referring to people who don't participate in quests? Or perhaps those that struggle with combat Rp? Kinda both. The weaker, non-combat chars would have a hard, but not impossible fight on their hands, a char who's more of a new, fresh from boot warrior would have an average fight, and so on.
