With the new arrival of Olde Town, we may consider moving. (It's awfully pretty.)
But we'd need a vote. Do you want to move?

Nay. I vote we stay where we are in imag.

To elaborate: Olde Town is the newest Main Dream set in by the Furcadian Staff. It's a map aimed for Older players, but doesn't have the focus on sex-and-gore like Furrabia does. It's honestly just a place for older players. Considering Silverion has mostly players of age 20+, we're considering the move.
Moving to Olde Town may attract older players, and as a result, more mature and experienced roleplays could occur... But the downside is, seeing as the map is so new, it's hard to tell how much traffic Silverion may get. That being said, again, we might get 'better' traffic instead.
There's also the question if Olde Town is Roleplay focused or not. Silverion will still be a Roleplay dream of course, but it will probably need to be specifically advertised while we're there.
One last thing to note; Olde Town seems to have a focus on more modern fantasy, which may better suit Silverion's air compared to all the other medieval-fantasy dreams in the Imaginarium.
Anyways, that's all I have to say for now!
*edit*
Looking over Olde Town, it seems to be a "Socializing Dream", which essentially means persona RP. (Acting out your real life self online, more or less a glorified chat-room). It may be worth your time to look over the place yourself to form your own opinion.

I'm not sure about it yet. I would think it has pros and cons since moving it to the adult only socializing section may attract more mature players, I think many may stroll in and think that it's an adult dream comparable to those found in FurN. That's what I think of immediately. BUT, I think maybe we should consider it. Let people know about it here, spread the word in dream and then move it there. I suggest we give it a month trial. See if we get more traffic. I believe we should since it's a new dream. We just have to be ready to deal with the good and the bad that comes with increased players.

I would have to say no. Olde Town is meant to be an Adult Only Clean socializing map, not for RP dreams. That's all I'm going to say.

I don't think so, personally. 'Mature' may or may not be good - It depends on the spectrum of 'mature' - Could be overly so, with overly vulgar jokes, extremes comparable to mature-as-in-xxx dreams... No real way to tell on what could happen. I personally don't really plan on checking out Olde Town yet - Not too interested. I'm perfectly comfortable where we are now, but, i guess this can't all depend on one person.

That's Furrabia stuff. Olde town seems to just be aimed at honestly older players, with 'mature' being "Yes we have jobs and do taxes and have families and are married but sometimes we still just want to play" kind of mature.

No, I like the idea of having a role playing dream in a place where there are other role playing dreams. I've checked out Olde Town and it seems more OOC than anything. And, others who are looking for RP dreams are going to go to the place where it is most common to see RP dreams, Imag.

If it really is just meant for socializing, then no. While the occasional OOC chat is okay, all day every day is not my cup of tea. I come to Silverion with all my plethoras of character ideas to RP, not talk about how (fill in name) has pissed me off this week.
I think we should stay here. We might give it a trial, but even if we do, we should wait and see what sorts of dreams pop up.

I don't think so. I like Imaginarium quite a bit, it's where younger players such as myself, seeing as how I am still seventeen, can find somewhere to jump into a roleplay, learn the ropes of adventure plots and what not.

Psh, worrying about age for RP. Sure, it helps, but the biggest issue is getting them over the mall ninja mentality. I, for one, have been playing D&D since I could do the math, and I took to math quickly.

I vote no for one reason; I have been on Furcadia 8 years, now. I am one of those that used to be in FurN back when the Rp was solid and entertaining before it turned to crap. I'm getting the feeling that an age 20+ area for older folks will turn out just the same as FurN, and that ruins dreams.(My own dream was hit pretty hard, and I just gave up on it, handing it over to some random person whom I thought was my friend... )
Another reason to keep Silverion in the Imaginarium would be because of the rather relaxed set of rules, the short posting length. Oh, and the no posting order rule. This dream is suited for more casual role play and for those still under-aged rather than an older audience. In my opinion, at least, Silverion caters to the audience Imaginarium's meant to cater to. The 14+ or 'Family-friendly' audience.

We should also remember that not all of us 20+ age folks want sexuality to be too open. While yes, it would be amusing to walk in on every once in a grand while, every time you turn the damn corner gets a little old, and eventually, you'll just walk away from it in general, and I have little confidence in certain players to not take advantage of the fact that sex no longer has to be private.
We should also consider the fact that there may be players of whom we do not know the age simply because they don't want to be treated like they're 14, 15, 16. Their character isn't that age, they don't want you treating their character that way, and some people, no matter how hard they try, cannot keep OOC knowledge OOC. Some of these people are condescending towards anyone younger than they.
We aim at having too varied a player base to be able to move to a stricter rule set and make it work properly.
